Ryan Air In the News

Mr. O' Leary's challenge...

"After having to cancel numerous flights due to a lack of pilots, Mr O'Leary said: "I would challenge any pilot to explain how this is a difficult job or how it is they are overworked, or how anybody who by law can’t fly more than 18 hours a week could possibly be suffering from fatigue.” LBC

And one of the pilots took him on!

  1. Considering that this is from the CEO who made the statement "The problem with aviation is that for 50 years it's been populated by people who think it's a wondrous sexual experience... when it's really just a bus with wings" I am not surprised.

    1. Keith, I'm with you... not surprised either. I often wonder if comments are marketing ploys, or just overall ignorance. Makes one wonder.

    2. In this particular case, I'm hoping it's the latter. However, the company's performance makes me wonder if employee morale has something to do with it. It's hard to speculate until without any verifiable account on what's going on behind Ryanair's green curtain, if you will.

    3. It is hard to speculate. I have a good friend over there who is filling me in on the battle. It's heating up for sure! More pilots coming forward. This will be interesting for sure. Thanks for your comment.
